RESEARCH PAPER

This research is focused on the experience of the Afro-Cuban population in Cuba. The paper reflects my interest to explore issues of racism affecting the Afro-Cuban community before and after the 1959 Cuban Revolution that brought Fidel Castro to power. The main objective is to discover issues of racism, racial discrimination and racial inequality, and to be able to understand how much these different factors were or are still present in the life of the Afro-Cuban community.
